Project Manager – Norrbotniabanan (Skellefteå Södra)

About the assignment

Norrbotniabanan is a new approximately 270 km long railway between Umeå and Luleå and one of Sweden's largest infrastructure projects. The program includes several parallel projects in the planning, design, and production phases.

We are now looking for an experienced Project Manager for a consulting assignment within the Swedish Transport Administration's project organization, primarily located within the subproject Skellefteå Södra – Construction Documentation.

The stretch covers approximately 46 km between Ytterbyn and southern Tuvan, including a regional train station in Bureå, and includes land, construction, and building works related to road and railway facilities.

The assignment is performed as a resource reinforcement in the client organization in close collaboration with project managers and other functions.

Job Responsibilities

As a project manager, you are responsible for planning, leading, and following up the design process with a focus on content, time, economy, and quality.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Leading and managing design assignments and following up on design contracts
• Ensuring progress in detailed design and construction documentation phase
• Reporting to the project manager
• Coordinating design with adjacent projects and external parties
• Planning and coordinating specialist resources
• Administering the review of documents and quality assurance
• Managing notifications and dialogue with suppliers
• Participating in consultations with municipalities, stakeholders, and external parties
• Ensuring permits and approvals
• Contributing to the preparation of tender documents
• Supporting project and construction management during the contracting phase
• Responsible for risk management within the design assignment
• Ensuring work environment requirements together with BAS-P and work environment specialists
• Managing invoice reviews and control certificates
• Representing the client in technical and contractual matters

Qualifications

To be considered for the assignment, you must meet the following requirements:

• At least 4 years of experience as a project manager, assignment leader, sub-project manager, or project manager in detailed design of road or railway projects
• Documented education in contract law (AB and ABK)
• Documented education BAS-P/BAS-U
• Documented education in the client's work environment responsibility
• Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
• Valid B driver's license

Meritorious

• Experience from Swedish Transport Administration projects
• Experience in large infrastructure projects
• Experience in construction documentation phase
• Experience in collaboration with municipalities and external stakeholders

• Consulting assignment
• Location: Luleå, Skellefteå, or Umeå
• Start according to agreement
• Possibility for continued work during the contracting phase
